Daycare Halloween Parade

On Halloween, the Deaconess Daycare parades the hallways of Deaconess Hospital in their costumes. Steve played room mother and helped with the Parade. In these pictures are Conner and his Daycare girlfriend, Isabelle. They are inseperable at school, so they wanted to ride together. She was an angel.

A Day at the Zoo

Conner and I took advantage of the beautiful morning and went to the zoo. Amazonia was a disappointment today because most of the animals from the center part were gone because they were cleaning their home. So, we decided to walk the whole zoo, which we normally don't do because it is usually hot and most of the animals are hiding. Well, to my surprise, most of the animals were out and about to enjoy the cool morning air and some of them were eating their breakfast. Conner seemed to enjoy the zoo today more than ever. He chose to walk through most of the zoo and help me push the stroller. He had a blast.

Mayse Market

Yesterday, we took Conner to Mayse Farmer's Market. We waited out the rain under an overhang, then jumped on the hayride to the Pumpkin Patch. We made it back from the patch and didn't get wet. Then, the rain held off for Conner to enjoy the rest of the place. His favorite was the big slide and the children's straw maze. He loved the maze and played around in it for about 20 minutes. Then on the way out, Conner picked out 5 gourds all by himself and gave the lady his money. We had a great day and will have to go back next year.

Fall Fun!

Today was such a beautiful fall day. The air was cool and windy and the leaves are falling. Conner and I took advantage of it and played in the leaves.

Trick or Treat

After the party Friday night, Conner and I, along with Steph and her crew, and Andrea and Memphis spent the night with mom and dad. We went to bed late Friday, 11:30 pm, Even Conner. We woke bright and early at 6 a.m.. Saturday. Thanks Sophie!!!! We hung out in our pajamas and made a big Saturday morning breakfast. We spent a few hours cleaning up from the night before. We then went trick or treating. We went to see my mom at work and then to Great Grandmother's house. She was so surprised and happy to see the kids in their costumes. It was a lot of fun.

Ugly Pumpkin

When we got home from the ALS walk on Saturday, we found this ugly pumpkin sitting in Conner's swing. It was a gift for him picked special from his neighbor Chris. These pumpkins are the new rage. They are bred to look wart covered. The uglier the better. Conner seemed to really like his new pumpkin. He grunted and pointed until I carried it around the house and he instructed me to place it right next to the pretty pumpkins.
It has found it's home. No Pumpkin stands alone.

17 Months Old

Conner is 17 months old and quickly approaching the year and a half point. Oh my, how time has flown.

*******What Conner is up to at 17 months*****
  1. He is wearing size 24 months or 2T clothes, size 7 shoes, and size 6 diapers.
  2. He goes to bed between 7:30 and 8 pm.  He wakes around 6:30 a.m.
  3. His favorite foods are chicken nuggets, cheese, yogurt, pudding, corn dogs, peas, green beans, spagetti sauce, and anything sweet.
  4. His favorite toys are a set of keys, an old paint brush, his medal from the pet parade, his baby pumpkin, and the scarecrows in the front flower bed.
  5. He loves socks. He is obsessed with socks. He asks for them before bed, he puts them on, takes them off, and repeats the process a bunch.
  6. He is becoming a real ham for the camera. You say "Smile" or "say Cheese" and he will give you the biggest grin that takes up his whole face and makes his eyes close.
  7. He is quite the flirt with women he likes.
  8. He will take you by the hand and lead you all over the place.
  9. His vocabulary is huge. We have no idea how many words it consists of because  he repeats everything we say and says something new every day. He talks a lot, although his teachers say he won't talk to them. He only says bye-bye to them.
  10. His favorite thing to say right now is , "Thank You."  He is becoming very polite.
