Another Funny!

Yesterday, I picked Conner up from daycare.
ME-  "hey Conner, you know how we pray every morning in the car on the way to school and ask God to help sell our house? Well, our prayers were answered. We sold our house today!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone bought it!"
CONNER- "Yeah" and then a high five to me.
We head home, pull down our street, and turn into our drive.
CONNER- "Well, where is it?"
ME- "Where is what?"
CONNER- "Our new house?, Why didn't those people that bought ours take it with them?"

Funny things he says!

More funny things Conner said recently.

*Me- "Conner, do you want to go outside and listen for the owls?"
Conner- "No, maybe later when I change my mind."

* Conner and Steve went to Hooters for dinner the other night. When they got there, they were having a car wash outside and the Hooters girls were wearing Bikinis.  When they were ordering their food, Conner asks the waitress, "Why are you only wearing your underwear?"

*When getting ready for bed-
Conner- "Mom, what do you think God is doing right now?"
Me- "I don't know, what do you think God is doing?"
Conner- "He probably just finished his dinner and his mommy is putting his pajamas on him so he can go to bed."

Memorial Day

Steve worked today, so Conner and I played all day. We started out by heading to Henderson to play in the sprinklers. We got there and their sprinklers were broke. We walked over to the caboose and it was closed. So, we went to their playground and waited on the train to go over the train bridge. Conner loves this. Then, we went to K-mart and the dollar store. Then, to Me Maw and Grandads to visit and get Conner a much needed haircut. It was a great and busy day. Back to work tomorrow!

Sunday Swim

We went from hanging out at the steps and hanging on for dear life to others Saturday, to floating around freely in an innertube by himself and jumping off the side of the pool into our arms on Sunday! This summer is going to be the summer this kid turns into a fish!
We spent the day Sunday at the pool with Michelle, Kelsey, Maddie, and even Steve. We made lunch, swam, and had dessert. Then, we went to Tiffani and Lindsay Harter's Graduation party.

Saturday Fun

We did not go camping this Memorial Day Weekend. This is probably the first time in 5 years we haven't gone. But, can't say that I am disappointed with the temperatures being 99-100 degrees all weekend. Been there, done that, and was miserable. Unfortunately, Steve has to work the whole long holiday weekend to catch up. So, Conner and I are trying to find "COOL" stuff to do.
This morning, we went to Wal-mart. Then, off to the Children's Museum. Then, we went to Stanton and Shirley's house to swim. Michelle, Kelsey, and Madison joined us. Conner would not get near the water last year one time. So, we were a little nervous if he would get in the pool at all this year. He spent most of his time on the stairs, but also would let us carry him around the pool holding on tight to us. This was HUGE as far as I am concerned. Compared to last year, this is a major improvement.

3 yr Well Check UP

Conner and I went to visit Dr. Phillips today for his 3 year Physical.
Dr. Phillips said as usual, Conner was very well behaved, well mannered, and it will go down in history as the smoothest 3 year check-up Dr. Phillips has ever given. Dr. Phillips loves Conner and we Love Dr. Phillips. He is always bragging on Conner and they get along so well.

Conner weighs 41.8 lbs.
Conner is 41.5 " tall (3' 5.5")
This puts him way off the charts!
Dr. Phillips said since November 11, 2011, Conner has grown 3 INCHES! and gained 4 pounds!
3 inches in 6 months!!!! WOW!!
Dr. Phillips is now predicting him to be 6'4"!
Conner's size at 3 years is that of the average 4 yr 8 month old boy!!!!
He said to go invest in a basketball, a Football, and a baseball and get him accustomed to them because he will definitely be an athlete!

Speech- He said Conner's speech is very advanced for a 3 yr old boy.
I talked to him about his difficulties with "ST" words like Star, Stop, Store, and Sticker.
He leaves the S off when using ST words, but can say SH and S words fine.
He said this is perfectly normal for a 3 year old, but to draw his attention to his mistakes each time.

He said it is time for a first dentist visit.

We are being referred to an allergist since he is now 3 and we can proceed with allergy testing.
He is ready to get to the bottom of the allergy/asthma/breathing problems and this is the first step
and we will possibly have to have his tonsils and adenoids removed after we get the allergy results.
He always has big tonsils and when he has an allergy/asthma flare up, they get huge and in the way of breathing. This is one issue we are in control of fixing to improve breathing.

Conner also has to have a circumcision revision, which I have known this from birth and now it is time to proceed with this surgery because 3 is the right age to make the decision of yes or no!
We are going to wait on the tonsil /adenoid verdict and hopefully do both surgeries at the same time ( I have connections) to avoid two experiences. Both of these surgeries are pretty painless for little people and he should do great!

Conner has complained of joint pain for the last 6 months, mostly his right knee. Dr. Phillips did a thorough exam and found nothing wrong physically with that knee. He is not surprised of the pain with the rate he grew in the past 6 months and called them growing pains. We are going to watch for swelling or limping which has never presented and if it does, go further. He is just growing so fast!

Dr. Phillips always comments on how happy Conner is and that he has a special magnetic spirit about him. He always keeps us laughing during visits. The first thing he asked Dr. Phillips today was,
"Am I going to get a Sucker today?"

Over All, Conner is healthy, happy, fast growing boy who is right on track with where he should be!

Happy Birthday Celebration

Today was a day of celebrating. Before I left for work this morning, I filled Conner's room with Mylar balloons of all kinds while he was still asleep. I called home later to have Steve wake him up. He saw the balloons on the ceiling and said "WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE?"   Then, Conner and Steve stopped by the donut bank on the way to school to buy donut holes for his class. His classmates made him birthday cards and gave to him. After work/ school, Steve and I gave him his Birthday gift, a big boy bike. Conner got to chose rather he wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese or Bowling and he chose bowling. So, we went to ARC lanes for dinner and bowling. Then, off to Sonic for Birthday Ice cream. What a full but great day of celebrating with a special 3 year old.
Happy Birthday Buddy!

He had to wait inside for his gift.

Wow, he spotted it on the patio!

He jumped right on with no fear!

And off he went!

He had to go to the neighbors house down the street to show them his new bike!

We also bought a water bottle that snaps on the bike. A must have feature for a energetic boy.

Future Lance Armstrong! (MINUS the steroid abuse!)

Bowling shoes

Cute

He loves to bowl!!!!!!
