Pay to get out!

We are completely out of our house, the new owners are moving in. We have been staying at our apartment for one week now, and trying to get everyone into a routine at our new place.
Every morning for a week, it went like this.  Get up, get ready for school, bags, purses, lunch, etc.
Head to the door, grab the bag of trash out of the kitchen, go to the car, load the trash in the trunk, (YUCK) and drive to the entrance to deposit the trash in the dumpster. Every day!
Thursday, Trash to the dumpster, and Oh Yeah, I'm gonna run into the office and pay the rent. (By the entrance to the apartments).
Conner-- "What are you doing?"
Me- "We have to pay to live here."  "I am paying them."
That was fine for him.
The next morning, same ol thing, trash to the dumpster, back in car, put it in drive,
from the backseat "WAIT!!!"
Conner- "You didn't pay to get out!"
Me- "What?'
Conner - "Yesterday you went in and paid them money so we could get out!"
Me- "No, that was rent money so we can live here, just once a month."
Conner- "So, they are gonna let us out for FREE today?"

Can You Drive that?

Yesterday, Conner was with my parents. I had been driving the pick up truck that day and Steve was in the work van. We met at Best Buy to park the work van and head to Santa Claus together.
That night, we got back to Best Buy, Conner with us this time and Steve got out to drive the work van and I slid across the front seat of the pick up truck. Conner said "Hey, What are you doing?"
I said "Sliding across so I don't have to jump down out of this big truck."
Conner said "Do you know how to drive this thing?"
Wow, being questioned by a three year old. I said "Why, Yes I do."
5 minutes down the road, Conner said, "Well, I guess you do know how to drive this thing, you are doing pretty good."

Welcome Charlie

We added a Guinea Pig to our family Friday. We adopted Charlie and gave him a home.
He is Conner's pig and his responsibility. He talked to Charlie all the way home from the pet store. The conversation went something like this.
"Hi Charlie, my name is Conner." "I am your owner."
"I will feed you, and water you, and walk you."
"You can live in my room"
"It's OK Charlie, we are almost home."
Then he sang to Charlie to calm him down.

Conner helps out a lot with Charlie. So far, he is enjoying his responsibility.

Daycare Carnival Fundraiser

This was the second year for the Daycare Carnival Fundraiser. It is a way for the kids to be at daycare with their parents, get to know other parents and teachers, and make some money for arts and craft supplies for the daycare. We also get to visit with all of Conner's old teachers and classmates families that we don't get to see all the time.

Camping Deam Lake

Labor day weekend, we went camping at Deam Lake by Louisville. We experienced 3 inches of Rain from Hurricane Isacc, but we didn't let that stop us. We visited the Louisville Mega Caverns, Joe's Crab shack. and Hard Rock Cafe in Louisville. Around the camper, we played play dough, candy land, trucks, airplanes, and fished.
