Feeding the Ducks

First Heartbreak

Friday was Isabelle's last day in the Ladybug room. She turned 3 last week and is graduating into a multi age group class. Conner and Isabelle have been together since birth starting out in the Infant room then together moving up to Ladybug. They have become best friends and boyfriend/ girlfriend.  They truly are inseparable.  Unfortunately, when Conner turns 3 in about 6 weeks, he may not be moving to Isabelle's new classroom because there are very few girls in that class now and they don't want to add any more boys to it. We will see.

So, Conner and I were discussing it Thursday night and I was trying to prepare him for Friday. They were having a Going Away party for Isabelle at school. I wanted him to understand that Friday was their last day together. He decided we should go shopping and buy her something.

We bought her a princess necklace in a pink crown box. Conner wrapped picked it out, wrapped it, and delivered it to her Friday with a card.

He was acting very weird when I picked him up Friday. He didn't want to get his picture made with Isabelle and he wasn't going to give her a hug.  Not sure if he was hurt or mad at Isabelle for leaving.

When we got home, he said, "Can Zoe come over and Play?"

I said "Zoe?, why not Isabelle?"

Conner said "No, Zoe is my friend now!"

We will have to wait and see how Monday goes!

He Gets Funnier Every Day

Here are some of the latest funny things Conner has said...

Steve had Carpal Tunnel Surgery two weeks ago. The morning of the surgery, I asked Conner if he had any questions about what was going on. He asked if I would be with Daddy during Surgery?

Who was the Doctor? Where will mommy wait for him? Will he come home that day?

And the best question..........."Will the doctor change daddy's batteries while he is in there?"

The other day, I had a green shirt on. Conner said "Mom, I like your green shirt. Where did you get it?"

I said "Thank you, I don't remember where I got it."

Conner said "At the GREEN SHIRT store?"

Last week, Steve was testing the hot tub water and adding the tons of different chemicals it takes every week while Conner was outside playing.

Conner said "Why do you put all those CONDIMENTS in the hot tub?"

Conner woke up one morning, told me he had to go poop and went into the bathroom.

He came out a few minutes later, never asking for a wipe.

I said "Well, how did it go in there?"

Conner said, "Well, my poop won't come out."

I said, "OH, so what seems to be the problem?"

Conner said seriously "I guess my poop is still sleeping, it will come out later when it wakes up."

Conner got a boo-boo while playing with Brady. He was showing me his knee and telling me he was just playing too hard.

I said "It looks like you got a little strawberry on your knee."

He said "No Mom, it is not a strawberry or a blueberry, it is a boo-boo."

I then got the look like I was by far the STUPIDEST person alive!

Dinner Prayer

Conner is the leader of our dinner prayer every time before meals. This is how it went the other night.

Conner-  

  "Bless us O Lord,

 and these thy gifts,

which we are about to receive,

from thy bounty,

through Christ our Lord,

and Lightening McQueen (Cars the Movie)

Amen.

Does Anyone want a pickle?"

We don't always thank Lightening McQueen for dinner, but this night, I guess he thought we should!



Slumber Party

After Disney on Ice, Sophie and Abby came back to spend the night with us.
We made and decorated cookies, ate pizza, watched Christmas movies and camped out on Conner's Bedroom floor. Fun!!
