Enjoying Fall

Conner and I were off today and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. We love to spend time outside. Today was no exception. We dusted off the leaves from his swing and gave it a work out. He loves his swing and the outdoors. He was mesmerized by the wind blowing leaves around and them falling from the trees. It definitely caught his attention. Then we loaded up the buggy (a.k.a. Conner's stroller) and went for a long walk. What a great day. Thanks to Steve for letting me work part-time. I enjoy my day off with Conner every week.

Staring at the falling Leaves.

First Halloween

Conner spent his first Halloween Trick or Treating at Lincoln State Park Campground. He was a Monkey. He got to dress up three times this Halloween. We got a lot of use out of his costume. He was a very adorable monkey. The cheeks fit the costume.

Sitting Up

Conner has been practicing sitting up for a while now. He has only lasted a few seconds before falling over or forward. On Sunday, he started sitting for a long time all by himself. He does really well. On Monday night, he sat for about 20 minutes playing with his toys without taking any spills. He's growing fast. It seems to be something new all of the time.

Another Tooth

Less than one week from the first tooth, there came a second. Conner's second front bottom tooth broke through Sunday. Hopefully, that will be all for awhile. He has had a few cranky and restless days. Poor guy. Forming Pearly Whites is hard work.

Conner's First Fall Festival

Today, Conner attended his first West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. He enjoyed all of the people and the sounds. He acted overwhelmed most of the day. He was looking here and there. He had so much to take in. He was very good and seemed to enjoy his first Festival. He rode the Ferris Wheel twice and the Merry Go Round once.

Conner and his Daddy
Conner kept grabbing at Steve's special Pepsi and putting it up to his mouth like he knew how to drink from a cup. A future NUT CLUBBER in training???????

5 Months Old

Conner is 5 months old today. He has changed so much over the past 5 months and is so much fun to be around. He brightens my day like I never thought anything could. He is my therapy after long, hard days at work. His smile will light up the house. He is magnetic. Happy Birthday Conner.

Couch Potato

His eyes are big and Blue? Brown? Gray?

Considering Rogaine

****Watching TV****

He had just got a bath and we were contimplating going the the Fall Festival or staying home because of the rain. We didnt't know if we needed to dress him or put him in a sleeper to hang out at home. We put him in a bath robe that was way too short and left little to the imagination. He seemed to love airing out the package.

*****What Conner is up to at 5 Months Old*****

  1. He weighs 22 pounds and is 28 inches Long
  2. He wears size 12 months clothing
  3. He still has very little hair. It looks blond some times with patches of dark brown. I am sure it will continue to change. There is too little of it to decide what color it will be.
  4. His eyes change with the color of shirt he wears. They are big and dark. Sometimes dark blue, sometimes dark brown, and sometimes dark gray.
  5. He has one tooth. The bottom front.
  6. He takes cat naps. He doesn't want to miss anything.
  7. He still gets up once or twice during the night to eat. That is getting old.
  8. He loves his exersauser and play yard. He can entertain himself on those just looking at all the different colors and toys. There is so much on them for him to explore.
  9. He is getting so good with his hands. His movements are much smoother. He can pass a toy back and forth between hands. He can take his pacifier out of his mouth and put it back in. He wants to help hold his bottle. He can snatch glasses off your face or pull your hair before you can think twice. He is sneaky quick.
  10. He chews on everything. Teethers, rags, toys, pillows, mommy's face. Anything near his mouth is going in. His little tooth is giving him the fits.
  11. He is the happiest thing I have ever seen. He laughs and giggles all day long and even in the middle of the night. He wakes up happy most every time. Unless he is starving.
  12. He sits up for a long time with the support of someone behind him. He can sit by himself for a short time and then topples to the side or face first into the ground. It won't be long until he doesn't need any help.
  13. He loves to be talked too and read too. He will help you turn the pages and even chew on them if you let him. He talks like his is reading along with you.
  14. He is such a good eater. Did I have to say that? He is 22 pounds!!!!!! He eats rice cereal, oatmeal with bananas, carrots, green beans, peas, squash, zucchini, sweet potatoes, red potatoes, and prunes. He loves to eat. I am so happy he isn't picky early on.
  15. He seems to love his new car seats. They are bigger and reclining. He can see out the windows better. He acts like he is a big boy when he is in his car seat.
  16. He is such a joy to be around

Breaking Ground

Conner broke ground today on his first tooth. You can barely see it, because he won't let you, but it is razor sharp. He is chewing on everything and drooling even more than usual. Just 19 more to go. Did you know? We have 20 baby teeth, then we lose them and end up with 32 permanent teeth. Just a little bit of knowledge for all of you.

Prunes the Poo Passer

One thing no one ever told this new mom was how well Prunes clean out the pipes. Conner probably wouldn't been just fine with half of a container. Daycare loved me today.

He loved them. They were YUMMY.

Zucchini

*****Zucchini***** Conner loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dress Up

Just because I didn't have a girl, doesn't mean I can't play dress up!!!!!!!!!!
