Ugly Pumpkin

When we got home from the ALS walk on Saturday, we found this ugly pumpkin sitting in Conner's swing. It was a gift for him picked special from his neighbor Chris. These pumpkins are the new rage. They are bred to look wart covered. The uglier the better. Conner seemed to really like his new pumpkin. He grunted and pointed until I carried it around the house and he instructed me to place it right next to the pretty pumpkins.
It has found it's home. No Pumpkin stands alone.

17 Months Old

Conner is 17 months old and quickly approaching the year and a half point. Oh my, how time has flown.

*******What Conner is up to at 17 months*****
  1. He is wearing size 24 months or 2T clothes, size 7 shoes, and size 6 diapers.
  2. He goes to bed between 7:30 and 8 pm.  He wakes around 6:30 a.m.
  3. His favorite foods are chicken nuggets, cheese, yogurt, pudding, corn dogs, peas, green beans, spagetti sauce, and anything sweet.
  4. His favorite toys are a set of keys, an old paint brush, his medal from the pet parade, his baby pumpkin, and the scarecrows in the front flower bed.
  5. He loves socks. He is obsessed with socks. He asks for them before bed, he puts them on, takes them off, and repeats the process a bunch.
  6. He is becoming a real ham for the camera. You say "Smile" or "say Cheese" and he will give you the biggest grin that takes up his whole face and makes his eyes close.
  7. He is quite the flirt with women he likes.
  8. He will take you by the hand and lead you all over the place.
  9. His vocabulary is huge. We have no idea how many words it consists of because  he repeats everything we say and says something new every day. He talks a lot, although his teachers say he won't talk to them. He only says bye-bye to them.
  10. His favorite thing to say right now is , "Thank You."  He is becoming very polite.

West Side Nut Club Main Parade

Conner, Brady, Ethan, Eva, and Stanton were in the West Side Nut Club Main Parade last night. They were seen by probably 90,000 bystanders. The crowd went wild for them.  They were by far the cutest thing in that whole parade. This was something so special for everyone involved to be in the main parade. Steve walked along with the barrel train and Jenny, Jess, and I rode the float in front of them. It was very exciting and a lot of fun. A wonderful end to a wonderful fall festival week.

Nut Club Pet Parade

Today, Conner, along with his cousins were in the West Side Nut Club Pet Parade. They entered the category of "GROUP WITH NO PET."  You don't have to have a pet to be in the Pet Parade. They were all dressed up as farmers or farm animals and Stanton dressed the barrel trains as straw bales. The work Stanton did on the mini floats was outstanding. It was Unbelievable how awesome they looked. We send a special Thanks to him for all of his time and hard work that made our entry extra special. The kids got 2nd Place in their category. The first place prize went to a group of escapees from a nursing home. OH WELL,  age before beauty. We will get them next year.
The kids had such a great time, waiving to the crowd, steering the barrels, and honking their horns. We were asked back for the BIG Parade tonight. A Few of the kids are going to be able to make it. That is such a big honor.

Fall Festival

Today, we went to the opening day of the Fall Festival. Conner got to ride a couple of rides and hang out with Hannah and Kyle. He had a blast. I think his favorite part was the Train and eating Cotton Candy.

Merry Go Round

Walking the Halls of the Nut Club Office.   Future Nut Clubber?????????

We told Kyle to hold on to Conner and he did.  He was an awesome friend to Conner on the Train ride. He held on to his leg the whole ride. Thanks Kyle.

He loved the Train Ride and didn't want to get off of it.
