Cubby

This is Cubby. We inherited him with the house. He has quickly become one of the family and one of Conner's favorite parts to his day. He wakes up each morning and runs to the back door to see Cubby.

Adventure Science Center

Conner has a good ball jar. It's pretty big jar. He gets a ball for doing something he wasn't asked to do, sharing, thoughtfulness, anything good that we notice and want to give him praise.
It's the alternative to always correcting him for being bad, it is nice to get praise for being good.
When he fills his jar, he gets to do something fun. Bowling, museum, pump it up, something  like that. Well, Conner wanted to go to a hotel and jump on their beds. He has expensive tastes. So, we were headed to Nashville this week for my yearly Vanderbilt visit, so we let Conner tag along and planned the weekend around kid friendly stuff as his reward.
Friday, we headed to Nashville, ate lunch at Jackson's. We've been there before and it is right by Vandy. After my appointment, we went to the Adventure Science Center. This was an awesome afternoon. Then, we went to the hotel, checked in, jumped on the bed, went for a swim, then jumped on the beds some more. We went to Opry Mills for dinner at the Rainforest Café, shopped a bit, and went back to the hotel to jump on the beds.
Saturday morning, we ate breakfast and headed to the Nashville zoo, where we stayed for 5 hours. We loved it there. It did not disappoint. Then, at 2;45pm, we headed home to make it to Kyle's 10th Birthday!!!
We had a great trip!
When Conner was asked what he wanted to do the next time he got his jar filled up, he said, he wanted to go to Michigan and see Aunt Elaine.
So, watch out Aunt Elaine, we may be landing on your door step this summer!!!

This room was right up Conner's alley.
