Super Bowl Sunday

Kelsey and Maddie spent Super Bowl Sunday with Conner and I. We made Spaghetti and Meatballs, Garlic Bread and Chocolate Chip Cookies. We watched the game and played with Conner. It was a lot of fun and better than going to a party or bar. Thanks girls for spending it with us. We had fun.

Conner was patiently watching the Cookies Bake. He wanted to be sure and be the first one to get one.

12 minutes is a long time for a toddler to wait.

Maddie kept singing to Conner and everyone so we taught Conner how to block it out.

Overnight with Sophie and Abby

Conner had his first overnight visit with the Wollenmann's last night while Steve and I went to a Benefit dinner for Heather Will. He has only spent the night at Grandparents before. When I was leaving, he quickly said "BYE" not even looking up from playing. I had to ask for a hug and a kiss. He did great and had a blast. Thanks Sophie for letting Conner come play with you and Abby.

We took Daddy!!

All the times that Conner and I have gone to CMOE to play, we never took Daddy. He has always been Busy. So, we begged him this morning to give us just one hour of play time. He did and he had fun. We were excited to show him the Children's museum and let him see what we do when we go there. Thanks for spending the morning with us Daddy. It was special to us!!!!

Snow Much Fun!

Conner playing in the snow at Grandma and Grandad's house!

Conner's 1st Haircut

Conner and I spent the weekend at my parents so Steve could tile the kitchen floor and we could get out of his way. We had a lot of fun visiting and playing. Conner was due for his very 1st hair cut. We have been practicing with Conner's pet vet he got for Christmas. It was a dog that came with nail clippers, scissors, a brush, and a hair dryer. We have been pretend cutting the dogs hair, Conner's hair, and my hair for two weeks to get ready for the special occasion. He was promised a toy if he was good. He was GREAT. He sat very still and didn't wiggle much. It was much needed. So, Grandma made him homemade banana pudding and we went to the store Sunday to pick out his toy. Good job Conner.

Practice Cut with Grandad.

Getting a little bored and needing to do his own cutting with his plastic scissors.

Blow drying my hair.

Celebrating with Banana Pudding!!!

Happy Birthday Sophie and Caroline

On Saturday, Conner and I helped friends Sophie and Caroline Engler celebrate their 2nd Birthday. It was a sugarplum fairy theme. Lots of Purple and Pink. There were tons of people there and about 15 kids between the ages of 1 and 3.  We had lots of fun, but Conner over indulged in the RED punch and he paid for it later. Happy Birthday to the Twins.

Happy Valentine's Day

What do you do when you are sick and stuck inside??? You decorate your Valentine's Day tree. Conner helped me decorate his Charlie Brown tree for Valentine's Day.

Don't mind the mismatched outfit. He was sick and this was comfy.

20 Months Old

Conner is now 20 Months old. Seems like he has gotten even taller in the last month and a little heavier. I am unsure of his height, but his weight is 35 lbs.. He is by far the tallest kid in his class, even over the boys who are 4 and 5 months older than him. He is becoming even more interactive, carrying on conversations with you, and answering questions. He will try and tell you what he wants now. He gets very frustrated when he is trying to tell you something and you can't decipher the baby jabber. He is growing way to fast.

*****What Conner is up to at 20 Months Old*****
  1. He is very attached to mom and has started crying when I leave the house.
  2. He has more bad drop offs than not at daycare. He doesn't want me to leave him and will hold on tight and cry.
  3. He has become very attached to his head teacher Ms. DIDI and talks about her all the time. This is making drop offs get a LITTLE easier when she is there.
  4. He is a very good communicator. He knows what he wants or needs and tells you.
  5. He is becoming more interested in the bathroom and what goes on in there. He announces to everyone when he has gone #2 and needs a diaper, and recently realized when peeing on the carpet that the Pee comes out of that little appendage between his legs. His reaction "Woah!!!!!"   He will tell you he has to poop and sit on the big potty for about 3 seconds, then wipes himself and wants down. He has the concept down, but our pediatrician said not to attempt the real deal until he turns 2.
  6. He is very good about putting his coat and hat in his room when he gets home.
  7. He tries to put on his own coat and take it off.
  8. He still loves to play in the kitchen sink with water and cups.
  9. Loves his new kitchen and plays with it the most out of all his toys.
  10. He loves to help me cook in the real kitchen.
  11. He is still a love bug.

A Fun Afternoon

This afternoon, I picked Conner up from Daycare right as he was waking up from nap time. So, we headed to the Children's Museum to use our family pass which we love. We played for about an hour and a half. When you have the family pass, it is a lot easier to just pop in for a while here or there. You don't feel guilty if you can't stay for half a day. We had fun playing and had most of the museum all to ourselves. Then, we went to the pet store to replace "Chris the Fish" who passed away on Christmas Morning. He picked one out and held him all the way home. His name is undetermined at this time. When we got home, Conner and I made homemade pizza. He loves adding the cheese and sampling the pepperonis. What a great afternoon.

Conner's new fish. The black one, not the one wearing lipstick.

Sampling the pepperoni.

Fun Filled New Years Eve Day

Conner and I had a New Years Eve Day Date. We did a lot of fun things together. We started the day by making sugar cookies with sprinkles of course. Then, we took some bread to the State Hospital to feed our friends, the ducks. All while Steve was Duck Hunting. Isn't this Ironic?? Conner and I didn't have to hunt, they just came right up to us when we got out of the car. Steve isn't doing something right. Then, we went to the Children's Museum with our new membership. While we were there, Stephanie called and said she saw my car. They were on a play date with her friend Lori and her children Stella and Stratton. So, to make our day even better, we got to play with 3 of our favorite people, Aunt Stephanie, Sophia, and Abigail and make 3 new friends. Wow, what a great day we had. It was lots of fun. Happy New Year to ALL!!!
