1st Day of 1st Grade

Conner started 1st grade today at St. Philip's. His teacher will be Ms. Ellie Naas.

The First Day of School Fairy had to bring magic 1st day of  school Fairy Dust yesterday to calm the nerves. He was so excited but a little nervous. We dropped off school supplies yesterday and I told Ms. Naas that Conner was feeling nervous. She told him that Tuesday would be her 25th year as a teacher and she still gets nervous on the first day. I think that helped!  He woke up so excited, and  asked if he could go ahead and get dressed! All the teachers, aids, and Mr. Dan were outside greeting the students. When he jumped out of the truck, they all started clapping and saying "Hi Conner!" "Welcome Back Conner!" and he was grinning ear to ear as he ran into the gym!

We look forward to another great year at St. Philip's!

Big Summer

Summer break has come to an end! That is so sad for me but Conner was so excited to start school today! This summer, Conner learned how to swim pretty well. We are leaps and bounds ahead of where he was last year. This year, he turned into a fish and spends more time under water than on top of the water, 

With the new love of swimming, came the guts to jump off the side of the boat into Rough River. This was a big accomplishment too.

He got to spend a week in Disney World, Got rid of the training wheels, camped, Lost two teeth, went to work with Dad some, and had his first entries in the 4-H fair. 

He also spent some time working on School Work. 

There were many late nights, many mornings of sleeping in, days at MeMaws and Grandads digging in the dirt, and many days swimming in PaPaw and Nanny's pool.

He had a full summer, but all things must come to an end!

We spent our last day off at Pump it up and Gattitown, visiting the classroom to drop off supplies, and swim lessons!

Tree House Progress

They are making some real progress on the Tree house project.

St. Philip Summer Social

This weekend was our Summer Social. Conner and Steve were both troopers and helped me in

dining room Sunday, then we found time to play together at the social. 

Conner, Trent, and Nash spent a LOT of time in this jump house!

Conner's Classroom Preview

Conner has got to visit his 1st grade room twice now. He has found his desk and even filled it with all his supplies. Ms. Naas's room theme is Little Monsters!

Telling Kelsey Goodbye

We took Kelsey out to dinner before she left for College Sunday. We will miss her and wish her lots of luck on her new adventures!

Learning to Dig

Conner spent some time this summer at Grandad's house learning to run heavy equipment.

He loved going there and playing in the dirt. Making memories.

A Day with Harper

Conner and I went to visit Andrea, Harper, and Preston on Friday. Conner, Harper, and I went to two parks and to Cold Stone Creamery for Ice Cream. It was a nice visit!

4-H Fair

This year was Conner's first year in Mini 4-H. At the fair, he did two projects, collections and space. This was the 2nd year for him to put his Allis Chalmers in the antique tractor parade. It was a full week of excitement, including two tractor pulls, and the demolition derby.
