Louisville Zoo

Saturday, we took advantage of the beautiful 70 degree weather and went on a day trip. We went to the Louisville Zoo. It was a great experience. We are used to the Mesker Park Zoo, so we were pleasantly surprised at how much the Louisville Zoo had to offer. We all had a great time. Conner was not very interested in the animals, but he loved the extra long stroller ride. He was such a good boy. On the way home, we stopped at Joe's Crab Shack for dinner. Then we took a carriage ride down by the river. It was so much fun.
Conner's 6 month birthday is Sunday the 8th, so we had to get a picture with his birthday hat.

They had 4 Giraffes. One being a baby. They could walk right up to the fence where people were standing. You could see them so well. They even had Giraffe feeding hour where you could pay to let them eat out of your hands. It was amazing to us to get so close to all of the animals at the Louisville Zoo. It was definitely a plus.

Joe's Crab ShackOur carriage and horseConner did OK with the horse until it started to shake his head and snort. Then he was not so sure about it. Conner stuck his bottom lip out and started to cry and hug his daddy. This was the first time we have ever seen him be scared of anything. He is developing more emotions.
Our carriage ride Our carriage driver and his dog. The driver is an artist by day who spends his down time on the carriage drawing.
