Conner is 1 Year Old

Conner turned one on May 8th. What a great day! He has changed so much over the first year. It has been one milestone after another. He is a great little boy with the biggest heart. He has his own unique personality that brings joy to everyone around him. He is still just as lovable as ever. You can see his little wheels turning in his mind every day as he discovers something new. He has made this the best year of Steve and I's life. I never knew a love this strong could exist. I look forward to many more years of happiness with Conner. Happy Birthday big boy. We love you lots.

*******What is Conner up to at 1 YEAR OLD??*******

  1. He wears size 18 months and 24 months clothes, size 5 or 6 shoes, and size 5 diapers.
  2. He does not use a bottle anymore. He drinks whole milk from a sippy cup.
  3. He walks everywhere.
  4. He has 10 teeth and 2 more on the way.
  5. He has been diagnosed with seasonal allergies and is taking it all in stride.
  6. He is still a love bug, a cuddler, a kisser, and a hugger.
  7. He pats you on the back while you hold him.
  8. He is learning to share more. He wants to offer you his food, his pacifier, or his toys.
  9. He is obsessed with pushing. He likes to push furniture across the floor. He tries to push you if you are sitting. He pushes his wagon across the yard and thinks that is great.
  10. He has a love for being outside. We spend countless hours outdoors. We ride in the wagon, his car, the barrel train if it is here, and play in the sandbox.
  11. He has recently started nodding his head YES. but most of the time he answers every question with a shake of the head NO. "Conner, do you want a bite of potatoes?" He shakes his head NO as he opens up his mouth. He may have the nods and shakes a little confused.
  12. He wakes up in a great mood. Most days, you will hear him talking to himself or playing with a stuffed animal when he wakes up from a slumber in his crib.
  13. My proudest accomplishment is the Love of Books Conner has. He loves to be read too. We don't always make it through a whole book. Sometimes only a few pages. He will be playing, stop and reach up on the shelf for a book, walk over to you and hand it to you. Then he will climb up in your lap for you to read to him. Then he will climb down and go pick out another book and repeat the process. I'm so proud of him.
  14. His favorite books are "I love you through and through," "Bear Snores On," "Bear wants more," "On the Night You were Born." and "Love you Forever."
  15. His favorite food is applesauce.
  16. He is 32 inches tall and 27 lbs. This is off the charts!!!!!
  17. He waves all the time.
  18. He points at everything trying to tell you about something.
