Beating the Heat

With temperatures hovering around 100 and heat indexes reaching 110, it's been a challenge to keep outdoorsy Conner indoors. We make him wait til about 7 each night before we go out and play. Whatever we do involves water. Mostly the lawn sprinkler. We have found other ways to have fun indoors. We go to the Library a couple of times a week and play and read. The Central Library has a lot to do for toddlers. Conner loves to pull tons of books off the shelves in the play area and we read as many as we can. We have gone to the mall twice this weekend alone. Conner loves to ride the kiddie rides that will make a parent go flat broke. They also have the train that goes through the mall now. We took a few trips on that on Sunday.  He loves to people watch at the mall. Who doesn't ????? Hopefully we get a break in the heat real soon so we can get back to the playground.
