Conner had surgery Wednesday, having a tonsillectomy and adnoidectomy and a circumcision revision, His doctors were Dr. Finch, Dr. Samm, and Dr. Leeds. He had it done at my workplace, the Evansville Surgery Center. He was loving it in the beginning. He got a lot of special attention. He had tons of visitors before and after surgery and he was eating it up. All of my friends, co-workers, anesthesia doctors, and a lot of surgeons all stopped by to visit with Conner and meet him. He was so happy, it was like a party. I got to walk back with him to the Operating Room and stay with him while he went to sleep.
After he woke up, it wasn't as much fun. He felt pretty crummy. He did great with the tonsillectomy but not so much with the circumcision. That was where he had his most pain.
He is on day two of recovery. Still hurting in that area. Pants and underwear are off limits and he has decided today that it hurts less to stand. So, from 6 a.m. til noon, he stood. Even standing to watch a movie. Finally, I got him to sit on the couch and he fell asleep comfortably.
Hopefully, he improves more each day.
