Happy Birthday Engler Twins!

Saturday morning, we went to Sophie and Caroline Engler's Breakfast Birthday Party!

They turned 3! We celebrated with pancakes, sausage, fruit, and cupcakes. It was princess and prince themed so all the kids got to make their own crown. Conner loves his and hasn't taken it off much since he made it.

Daycare Talent Show

Tonight was Conner's daycare Talent Show at the Hospital! His class performed "Wheels on the Bus."

It was so cute! I am very proud of Conner and all the kids who participated! They have been practicing for weeks and were very brave to get up in front of a packed house!

Funny Things He Says!!!

Funny Things Conner Has Said Lately!!!!

• "Mom, you are so Pretty and Handsome."
• "I'm Sexy and I know it" -- He got this From the Radio
• When our house phone rings, I don't usually even go see who it is, I just let it ring because it is always tele- marketers.  Conner asks why I don't answer it?  I say because I don't want to talk to that lady.    One day when I was in the shower, I got out and Conner said  "Mom, your phone was ringing."  I said "Oh, Well, who was it?"  Conner replied "Probably that girl you don't like to talk too,"
• While still wearing diapers, one day in our living room,,"Conner, did you poop?"  Conner replied "UM No, It was probably Sophie or Abby."  They live an hour away!
• When I started wearing ponytails again,,,,,Conner---"Mom, I like your PONY HAIR."
• When at a party, My dad said "I am going to go check the paint on the back of the barn."   Meaning 'I am going to take a leak.'    When he came back, Conner said "How was the paint back there Grandad?"
• On Conner's recent parent- teacher evaluation, it listed his interests as.....                                             Cars, painting, outdoors, books, and .........ISABELLE!!!     
• When at the mall this week and riding the large train that goes through the mall, we sat in the front car behind the driver......  Conner said       "Look mom, all his hair falled off!" (It really had, he was just calling it as he saw it)
• When someone asked him for a kiss, he said  "I'm all out of kisses, Me Maw stole them all!"
• When we pulled up to the parking garage at the hockey game, he lifts up his change purse and says "I Brought money for the parking garage!"
• I got pulled over by the cops Saturday night in the big town of Santa Claus, IN. I was telling Conner that I was passing in the wrong lane and the cop stopped me and told me I was being bad and to stop it... Conner said "Did he tell you to go sit in the Hallway and don't come out?" (the hallway is his timeout place.)
• This summer when leaving the campground and sitting in the truck waiting our turn to dump, Conner from the backseat says "Mom, lets pray!"  I said "OK, Who are we going to pray for?"  He said "My Daddy." (who is sitting in the front seat). I said "That is very nice, Go ahead!"  Conner folds his hands and says "Bless us O Lord, and These thy gifts, which we are about to receive, from thy bounty, AMEN,"  I guess it is good to be prayed for even if it is the prayer before meals.

                If I don't write these things down, I will forget them because there is always something new coming out of that kids mouth!!!!!      

Potty Trained!!

Thursday- diapers! Friday - No diapers!

Conner and I took Friday, the weekend, and Monday off to Potty train. As Steve called it, Conner's Potty Training Boot Camp! The poor guy wasn't allowed out of my SIGHT for 72 hours. I followed him everywhere!

The first thing we did Friday morning was go through all the cabinets, diaper bags, and cars and throw every last diaper in the trash. I wanted Conner to be the one to do this! He willingly tossed them. Then, we had Steve take that trash bag with him when he left for work and promise not to give it back to me even if I begged!

We were off. The next 3 days were mommy and Conner potty training. He had it by the end of the first day. Only two accidents the first day. Two accidents the second day, and No accidents the third day!

The fourth day, was the TEST day before I sent him back to daycare on Tuesday!

We went to the mall for 4 1/2 hours and he passed with flying colors. He could apply everything I had taught him out in public!  No Accidents all day Monday either!

Tuesday was another test,  DAYCARE, with all the distractions of the other kids. He passed. He was in the same clothes and underwear when I picked him up at the end of the day. They couldn't believe it. They were changing his diapers on Thursday and now they were pulling up underwear for him.

Wednesday morning, The teachers were asking for my secrets!!!

Conner is such a fast learner! He was easy to train. He can pick up on anything if he wants too!

I am so proud of our weekend!

What little boy doesn't love the snow??????  It snowed Thursday and Conner was amazed. The questions started.... "How long will it snow?....Can I play in it?......Is it snowing at Granddad's house?.....Is it snowing at my daycare?"  So, Friday, he was begging to go out and play in the snow. We waited til around lunch time and it had made it to about 19 degrees. It wasn't going to get much warmer. So, 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, 1 sweatshirt, 1 coat, 2 pairs of socks, 1 pair of snow boots, a pair of mittens, 1 sock hat, 2 hoods, 20 minutes later, and a stiff little boy who can no longer bend over, and we are out the door.  I lasted about 20 minutes. He would have stayed out all day.

He loves to explore new things!

Monday, a Holiday, we went bowling. Steph, Tim, and I took Sophie, Conner, and Abby. It was the girls first time to bowl.
