Time Out can be TOO CUSHY!
Steve put Conner in time out today at my parents house. He told him to sit in this chair and don't move. Steve had to go outside so I took over the time out watch. Conner got off the chair, and I said "What seems to be the problem that you got off the chair?"
Conner's reply "I don't want to take my Time Out in this COMFY CHAIR."
Countdown is on
We have just a few weeks left in our house. We have made so many memories here.
I am afraid Conner will never remember living here.

Jesus
Conner and I have been reading about Jesus. I explained last night that Jesus was born in a manger to Mary and Joseph. Conner said "I thought Jesus was a man."
I said "Well, he is a man, but he started out as a baby, just like you did."
He thought about it and replied "Well, what daycare did he go to?"
I was taken off guard and said "Deaconess."
Today, Conner and I were talking about how you shouldn't pick your nose and how some of his classmates eat their boogers. He then asked me why God put little hairs inside our noses.
I had the correct medical answer for this question.
He is always thinking!

More Funnies
One weekend I was telling Conner that I was going to a baby shower and he was gonna stay home with daddy.
His reply: "Do they have a bathtub there?"
A few weeks ago when Conner stayed at Shirley's sick from school, I picked him up and was driving down the Loyd. I heard him in the back seat having a conversation
"I just don't know, maybe I will Pick it up" and a whole bunch of jabber.
I said "What did you say?"
He said "Nothing"
I said "I thought I heard you talking."
He said "Oh, I am just talking to myself like Nanny does all the time!"

Me- (Hollering into the LR)- "Conner, you forgot to put the Toilet Seat down again."
Conner (Who has came to my bathroom door to further our conversation) "Are you tired of that?"
Me- "Tired of What?"
Conner- "Me not putting the toilet seat down?"
Me- "Well, since you asked, I am tired of you not putting it down."
Conner- "Well, I am tired of putting it down for you."

All about Bees
For the last two months, the science topic in the Starlight room has been honey bees. They have been learning all about them and studying them. Today, our good neighbor, Keith Rollins, went to daycare and did a presentation on honey bees. Keith became a Bee Keeper a few months back. He will collect active hives from his landscaping customers properties and transplant them to another property. He collects the honey and bees wax and they are very good in helping his flowers.
Keith did a heck of a good job. He brought the bee suit, some live bees, fresh honey, and a bee house. It was a very hands on presentation and the kids got very involved and asked a lot of questions. Ms. Andrea was so happy with the guest speaker. He also left a real bee house for the kids to paint and decorate and he will seal it and put it at one of his customers houses.
Thanks Keith for donating your time and knowledge to the Starlight room at Deaconess Children's Enrichment Center.
| The girl in the orange is Conner's newest gal, Julia. Isabelle is still #1, but you gotta have a back up. |

Little Minds
Today on the way to daycare....
Conner- "Mommy, why is your hair falling out?" (We have to remove my hair ball from the shower drain every night before he can take a bath.)
Me- "Well, I guess because I am under a great deal of stress and I am getting old."
Conner- "Well, sick Jamie's hair fell out and you said she is very sick and on medicine.
Are you sick mommy?"
Oh my, what a tear jerker. Conner thought his mommy had cancer. He was so worried.

Conner's Michigan Vacation 2012
Conner, Steve, and Tammy went to Michigan in June for Vacation. We stayed with Aunt Elaine and visited. We had a full week of Grand Rapids Children Museum, John Ball Grand Rapids Zoo, Days at the Beach, Lighthouse visiting, Trolley riding, Sand Dune Jeep Rides, visits to Grand Haven and Pentwater, and a lot of family time. It was a great vacation with nice weather. He is still talking about it and especially missing his Aunt Elaine.
